Our Church Community Garden

We have two 20' x 20' plots at church on some farmland. This garden gets full sun from sunrise to sunset, and we can't water is very often so we didn't use the square foot gardening method. Because we intend to give this food away to those in need we went with a lot of staples, rather than less filling, though tasty food. We planted a ton of sweet potatoes, beans and carrots. We stuck in four tomato plants in one bed to see how they will do in the high heat of summer.

Thank You God! - He Answers Our Prayers - "The Tree"

I had prayed and prayed about this tree that shaded much of my backyard and thus my gardens. I was not able to get the tree down myself for multiple reasons, including being asked not to take it down by someone who has the final say in the matter. So...I gave it to God...if He wanted the tree to stay up then He must have a reason. I praise Him either way. Well, last night some bad storms blew through taking a lot of trees down including.....yep...you know it - THAT TREE - and no damage to the house. Check it out. Thank you God!

As I was making this video update I started noticing more and more cicadas on my plants. Otherwise the gardens are growing fast! Especially the potatoes!
